I'MĀ SONIA
Sonia Beecher is the heart behind SoniaBFlowers, a flower farmer, florist, and natural storyteller whose work is rooted in a rich family legacy of gardening and land stewardship. Her grandparents, who fled Russia in the 1930s and rebuilt their lives across China, Paraguay, and the United States, carried with them a deep knowledge of growing food and flowers. It was in their gardens that Sonia learned to nurture plants, tend the soil, and see beauty in every season.
After decades of cultivating her own gardens, raising three children, and building a career in esthetics and film makeup artistry, Sonia felt a renewed creative calling. In 2020 she enrolled in the Floret Flower Farming course ā€” a pivotal moment that transformed her lifelong passion into her lifeā€™s work. Today, she farms more than 300 dahlias, maintains 15 raised beds, and grows year-round inside her radiant-heated Flowershop greenhouse and her cool-season propagation house.
